Hunter Association
The organization that tests and licenses Hunters.
The Hunter Association is a non-governmental organization that tests and licenses Hunters, people who have proven themselves through a rigorous examination and who specialise in finding rare creatures, secret treasures and other people. Passing the exam earns a license with many benefits, so the annual exam draws huge numbers of applicants and has an extremely high failure rate.
Lore & Background
Chairman Isaac Netero presides over the Hunter Exam. The Zodiacs, the Association's high council, are 12 top Hunters he picked personally; each has a code name from the Chinese zodiac, and most change their behaviour, looks and even legal names to match their animal.
After Netero's death, the Zodiacs are tasked with deciding his succession. When Beyond Netero and Kakin plan an expedition to the Dark Continent, the Zodiacs travel with them.
