Dark Continent Expedition Team
Beyond Netero's expedition to the Dark Continent, chaperoned by the Zodiacs.
The expedition to the Dark Continent is organised by Beyond Netero, son of the late chairman Isaac Netero, and sponsored by Nasubi Hui Guo Rou, the king of Kakin. The world's five most powerful nations, the V5, regard the continent as a forsaken place and oppose the trip.
Lore & Background
To keep control over the expedition and its spoils, the V5 offer Kakin a seat on their council, making it the V6. The Hunter Association's Zodiacs travel with Beyond as chaperones hired by the V5. Once Cheadle becomes chairman she accepts the resignations of Ging and Pariston, who both join Beyond's side: Pariston buys his way into second-in-command in name only, and Ging then buys him out of the position. Leorio joins the Zodiacs as the Boar for the voyage, and the intelligence team includes a member who writes software to recognise ancient languages.
The expedition sails aboard Kakin's ship, the Black Whale, where the Kakin succession war between the princes plays out at the same time. Kurapika is on board as bodyguard to Prince Woble, and the Phantom Troupe and Hisoka are also aboard.
