Niffty

The hotel's tiny, hyperactive 1950s cyclops maid - and the one who killed Adam.

Niffty is the Hazbin Hotel's small, hyperactive maid in Hazbin Hotel: a cyclops demon from the 1950s obsessed with cleanliness and men, voiced by Michelle Marie in the pilot and Kimiko Glenn in the series. Alastor summons her, along with the bartender Husk, to staff the hotel in the 2019 pilot. Beneath her creepy, macabre mannerisms she usually means no harm, but in "The Show Must Go On" it is Niffty who kills Adam, stabbing him in the back.

Background

Niffty is the only straight character in the hotel as of the series premiere and is fluent in Japanese. In "Scrambled Eggs" she keeps a sadistic watch on the new resident Sir Pentious, and on the night before the Extermination in the finale Alastor reminisces with her about the past six months at the hotel.

Kimiko Glenn also voices Susan, the ornery cannibal of Cannibal Town.

Alastor

Alastor, voiced by Edward Bosco in the pilot (singing voice by Gabriel C. Brown) and Amir Talai in the series, is also known as The Radio Demon. He is an eccentric, asexual overlord of Hell. In life, he was a New Orleans radio broadcaster in the early 20th century who moonlighted as a serial killer. He was killed when hunters mistook him for a deer and shot him while he hid a dead body in the woods, sending him to Hell; his demon form has many deer-like features. His voice carries radio static effects, sound effects, and theme music. His charming exterior hides a twisted, sadistic mindset. He offers his powers to Charlie for his own amusement, enjoying watching demons struggle to redeem themselves only to fall. He has rivalries with Vox, Sir Pentious, and Lucifer. He is initially trapped in a deal with Rosie, who granted him his power. He originated in the webcomic ZooPhobia.
