Background
Lute debuts in "Overture" at Adam's side. In "The Show Must Go On" she kills Dazzle, one of Lucifer's goat pets, while he protects Vaggie, and loses her left arm escaping the rubble of the hotel; it is later replaced by a golden prosthetic. Angry over Adam's death and Sir Pentious's redemption, she claims command of the Exorcists until the seraphim appoint Adam's son Abel, leaving her as lieutenant. In season two she sets out to kill Vaggie as the person closest to Charlie, and sees Adam again as a hallucination; Abel ultimately stops her.
Lute wears the Exorcists' mask and grey uniform, distinguished by the X-marked right eye of her mask and backward-curving horns. She shares Adam's conviction that angels are perfect and never make mistakes.
