Felix Felicis

Felix Felicis, also known as Liquid Luck, is a potion that makes the drinker lucky for a time, so that their attempts succeed. It is hard to brew, takes six months to prepare, and is dangerous if made badly. Taken in excess it causes recklessness and overconfidence and is toxic in large amounts, and it is banned in organised competitions such as Quidditch. It was invented by Zygmunt Budge in the 16th century.
