Synnax

Synnax is a planet mentioned in the novel Foundation, circling a star at the edges of the Blue Drift, with a single satellite. It is the homeworld of the psychohistorian Gaal Dornick, whom Hari Seldon invites from there to Trantor. The more urbane Trantorians regard its people as provincial, although the planet was never cut off from civilization. In the 2021 television series, Synnax is an ocean planet where the pursuit of knowledge is considered heresy.
