Lore & Background
Dahl is home to the heatsinks, vast underground works that draw energy from heat deep inside the planet. There Seldon meets Yugo Amaryl, a menial heatsink worker who later becomes the second-best psychohistorian after Seldon himself.
Reader's Guide
Dahl is one stop on Seldon's tour of Trantor's sectors while he evades First Minister Eto Demerzel; the variety of those sectors finally convinces him that Trantor itself can be the test case for psychohistory.
In Dahl, Seldon and Venabili also meet Raych, a street boy whom Seldon later adopts, and an old wise woman tells them that the Mycogenians' Aurora was not humanity's original world but the enemy of the original planet, Earth.
