Empire Navy

The Imperial fleet is the military arm of the Galactic Empire; in the Foundation television series it faces off against the Foundation under General Bel Riose and is destroyed in the season two finale by a scheme orchestrated by Hari Seldon. The Navy plays a critical role in the Foundation's story as the antagonist force they must outmaneuver. In the broader conflict, the Navy represents the old order: slow, centralized, and ultimately unable to adapt to change. Its decline is a central theme in the first half of the saga, illustrating how even the most powerful military machine can crumble when it fails to understand the shifting currents of history.
