Zakhara
A fantasy realm inspired by Arabian Nights, east of Faerûn.
Zakhara is a fictional realm on the planet Abeir-Toril, styled after themes from the Arabian Nights and serving as the setting for the Al-Qadim campaign setting in Dungeons & Dragons. It is a giant peninsula east of Faerûn, separated from the main supercontinent by the World Pillar Mountains. The land is ruled by a theocracy headed by the Grand Caliph, with its capital at Huzuz, the City of Delights. Zakharans consider themselves more civilized than outsiders and treat foreigners as barbarians. The setting draws on early Hollywood depictions rather than historical fact, presenting a chaotic, alien space contrasted with neo-medieval European settings.
