Plot

The trilogy continues the story of Artemis Entreri, an assassin previously featured as Drizzt Do'Urden's archenemy, and Jarlaxle, a drow mercenary who leads the outlaw group Bregan D'aerthe. Their adventure, begun in the Paths of Darkness series, tests their skills, minds, and souls. While antagonists in the Drizzt Do'Urden series, they are the main characters here, allowing deeper exploration of Entreri's calculating nature and Jarlaxle's ambition.

Reception

The Sellswords ranked #4 on a 2024 Game Rant list of the 31 Best Dungeons & Dragons Novels.
