Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia
The 2017 Nintendo 3DS remake of Fire Emblem Gaiden, following Alm and Celica across Valentia.
Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia is a 2017 tactical role-playing game for the Nintendo 3DS, developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo. It is the fifteenth Fire Emblem game and a remake of Fire Emblem Gaiden, the 1992 Famicom title that was the second entry in the series.
The story follows two protagonists, Alm and Celica, who try to end the war on the continent of Valentia in opposite ways: Alm through battle, Celica through the guidance of the goddess Mila.

Background
Long ago the sibling gods Mila and Duma fought over Valentia, then split the continent between them. Mila's followers founded the bountiful Kingdom of Zofia in the south, while Duma's worshippers built the harsh Empire of Rigel in the north.
Echoes keeps the core Fire Emblem turn-based battles but brings back Gaiden's odd mechanics, including dungeon crawling, a world map and towns to explore. The Weapon Triangle and weapon durability are gone; each unit carries a single weapon that unlocks Combat Arts. Mila's Turnwheel, a new feature, lets players rewind turns a limited number of times.
Development started in 2015 after Fire Emblem Fates was finished, with staff from Fates and Fire Emblem Awakening involved. The localisation was handled by 8-4. The game sold over one million copies and reviewers praised its story, full voice acting and gameplay additions, while criticising its archaic map design.
