Fire Emblem Warriors
The 2017 Dynasty Warriors crossover in which the twins Rowan and Lianna defend Aytolis.
Fire Emblem Warriors is a 2017 hack and slash action role-playing game co-developed by Omega Force and Team Ninja for the Nintendo Switch and New Nintendo 3DS. Koei Tecmo published it in Japan and Nintendo elsewhere, and it crosses Koei Tecmo's Dynasty Warriors with Intelligent Systems' Fire Emblem series.
The story follows Rowan and Lianna, twin heirs to the throne of Aytolis, as they defend their realm after Oskar, the king of neighbouring Gristonne, begins reviving the Chaos Dragon Velezark.

Background
When monsters pour through a portal inside the castle, Queen Yelena is captured but first hands the twins the Shield of Flames, this game's version of the Fire Emblem. To stop Velezark the shield must be charged with Gleamstones, crystals made from the power of heroes drawn in from other worlds.
A number of characters appear from other Fire Emblem titles, mainly New Mystery of the Emblem (2010), Awakening (2012) and Fates (2015), with others taken from Gaiden and The Blazing Blade, and the recurring merchant Anna also appears. General combat and mission structure come from the Dynasty Warriors series, while the Weapon Triangle carried over from Fire Emblem makes axes strong against lances, lances strong against swords and swords strong against axes.
Production began in 2015 during work on the expanded Hyrule Warriors, with director Hiroya Usuda and producer Yosuke Hayashi returning. On release journalists praised the blending of Warriors and Fire Emblem elements, while criticism focused on its story and limited character roster, and the game sold over one million copies worldwide.
