Instant Transmission
Vanish in a flash of blue light and reappear before your enemy can blink.
Instant Transmission, known in Japanese as Shunkan Idō, is a teleportation technique that allows the user to vanish from one location and reappear instantly in another. While initially exclusive to the alien race that taught it, the technique was famously adopted by Son Goku after his journey to Yardrat following the battle with Frieza.

Lore & Background
Goku learned this ability from the inhabitants of the planet Yardrat after defeating Frieza and escaping the destruction of Namek. He returned to Earth with the skill just in time to aid his friends against the Androids and later Cell. Cell, who carries Goku's cells, memorizes the technique as well, and Vegeta later uses Shunkan Idō too. Goku used it to teleport himself and the self-destructing Cell to King Kai's planet, sacrificing himself to save Earth.
Reader's Guide
Instant Transmission is less about physical movement and more about spiritual navigation. Vegeta later resolves to go to Yardrat to train and returns having used Shunkan Idō.
