Cerberus
The three-headed Ice Guardian chained at the gates of Temen-ni-gru.
Cerberus, titled the Ice Guardian, is the three-headed hellhound who guards the entrance to Temen-ni-gru, chained and sealed there by Sparda. He is the boss of Mission 03 of Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening: when Dante enters the tower, Cerberus orders him to leave and attacks when Dante mocks him. Impressed by Dante's strength after his defeat, he willingly gives up his soul, becoming the first Devil Arm Dante gains in the game. He controls ice, encasing himself in ice armor, raining icicles and belching small icebergs.

Background
In the Devil May Cry HD Collection, defeating him earns the award 'Man's Best Friend'. His ice armor must be shot away before he can be damaged, and attacking his legs makes him fall and expose his heads. The name comes from Greek mythology's hound of Hades, who also guards the third circle of Hell in the Divine Comedy.
