Emon is the capital of the Kingdom of Tal'Dorei, located on the continent's western shore. Greyskull Keep, the home of Vox Machina in Critical Role's first campaign, stands there.
Lore & Background
In campaign one, four ancient chromatic dragons attack Emon while Sovereign Uriel is announcing his abdication outside the palace. The Cloudtop District is set on fire, Allura's tower is destroyed, and the red dragon Thordak claims the city as his. The sourcebook Tal'Dorei Campaign Setting Reborn describes a League of Miracles rebuilding Emon and other cities destroyed by the Chroma Conclave at magically accelerated speed.
Reader's Guide
The first season of Exandria Unlimited is also set in Emon, thirty years after the first campaign and ten years after the second. Orym, Fearne and Dorian meet there with other adventurers and form the Crown Keepers.
