Lore & Background
The campaign's story runs from the Kraghammer arc, set mainly in the subterranean depths of the Underdark, to the Cult of Vecna arc and a final battle against the lich demigod Vecna. Pike's family appears during the Taryon Darrington arc (episodes 85–99), where her relationship with them is explored. Another member of the party, the dragonborn sorcerer Tiberius Stormwind, leaves Vox Machina during the journey to Whitestone and is later killed when the Chroma Conclave attacks Draconia.
Reader's Guide
Campaign 1 is told in six story arcs: Kraghammer (episodes 1–16), which ends in a battle with the beholder K'varn; Vasselheim (17–23), in which the party proves its worth to the Slayer's Take guild; Briarwood (24–38); Chroma Conclave (39–84), which opens with four ancient chromatic dragons attacking Emon; Taryon Darrington (85–99), which includes a one-year time skip between episodes 94 and 95 and the appearance of Pike's family; and Cult of Vecna (100–115). Pike did not appear in every part of the original campaign because of Ashley Johnson's scheduling conflicts while filming Blindspot.
