Lore & Background

The campaign begins two months before the Apogee Solstice, a celestial event that influences the ley lines of Exandria and magnifies magical abilities. The characters meet in the city of Jrusar and later name their party after a fallen member, Sir Bertrand Bell. They are drawn into the mystery of Exandria's second moon, Ruidus, and learn that the gods crafted it to imprison an ancient evil known as Predathos, which the Ruby Vanguard of Ludinus Da'leth means to free during the solstice.

Reader's Guide

The Bells Hells try to stop the ritual by targeting the Malleus Keys, and their interference prevents the release of Predathos; afterwards Ruidus stays locked over the Hellcatch Valley Malleus Key. The Exandrian Accord then unites nations and factions in a military alliance against the forces of Ruidus, with the Bells Hells, Vox Machina and the Mighty Nein acting as coordinated strike teams. The campaign also contains Downfall, a three-part special run by Brennan Lee Mulligan.
