Chetney Pocko

A gnome blood hunter, rogue and woodworker who joins the Bells Hells.

Chetney Pock O'Pea is a gnome blood hunter and rogue in Critical Role's third campaign, played by Travis Willingham. He is also a woodworking artisan. He left Uthodurn looking for help with his lycanthropy, and he joins the Bells Hells as a full member after asking the party to help him search for a man.

Lore & Background

Chetney first comes to the party asking for help to locate a friend, Gurge, whose apartment they find tossed and covered in claw marks. Ajit Dayal later tells him that the Gorgynei, the werewolves he has been seeking, roam the Gloomed Jungles. A toy shop owner from Uthodurn turns out to know his old mentor Oltgar. Chetney and the gnome cleric Deanna Leimert, a guest character played by Aabria Iyengar, are exes.

Reader's Guide

Travis Willingham plays two characters in campaign three: Sir Bertrand Bell and then Chetney. Chetney was inspired by a character Willingham had played in the non-canon one-shot "The Night Before Critmas". His werewolf form can slip his control: during a museum heist he is badly hurt by acidic jelly and lashes out at Orym, who had come to save him.
