Background
de_train is one of the original maps in Counter-Strike, first appearing in beta 6.5 in 2000. The map is set in a gritty, industrial train yard, featuring a bomb site on a stationary train and another in a nearby warehouse. Its layout has undergone several revisions over the years, most notably in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, where it was reworked for competitive play. The map has been a staple in major tournaments, including ESL One Cologne and the ELEAGUE Major.
