In Their Own Story
The air inside the United Center is thick with humidity and anticipation. In the fourth quarter of a tight playoff series game, Dennis Rodman dives across the hardwood, his hair a wild mane of purple and gold against the polished floor. He snatches a loose ball from beneath a towering center, immediately popping up to direct traffic while scanning for the next threat. The crowd roars as he locks onto his man, a physical wall that no opposing scorer can penetrate.
