Background
The Bulls squandered a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter and trailed 98–94. Michael Jordan's layup cut the deficit to two, and Dan Majerle's 30-foot three-pointer fell short on the Suns' next possession. On Chicago's final possession Danny Ainge left Paxson to go after Horace Grant, and Grant passed to Paxson alone 25 feet from the basket. Paxson's three was the only score by a Bulls player other than Jordan in the entire fourth quarter, and Grant's last-second block on Kevin Johnson secured the win.
