Richard Klein was the founder of the Chicago Bulls and the only owner in Bulls history to have played professional basketball, having previously played for the Chicago American Gears.

Reader's Guide

Klein resigned as general manager in 1969 and was replaced by Pat Williams. The Bulls were later sold to the Wirtz family.
