Background
With James Worthy and Byron Scott out injured, Magic Johnson added 20 assists and 11 rebounds, but Jordan's defense held him to 16 points on 4-of-12 shooting. The Lakers led 93–90 in the fourth quarter before the Bulls went on a 9–0 run, with John Paxson scoring 10 points in the final half of the quarter. Scottie Pippen led Chicago with 32 points and 13 rebounds, and Jordan, named Finals MVP, added 30 points and 10 assists. It was the last NBA Finals game played at the Forum.
