Velia
A seaside farming town and the old capital of Balenos.
Velia is a town in the Balenos region, affiliated with the Republic of Calpheon and ruled by Igor Bartali. It looks like a fishing port, but it is really a farming village: the shallow waters of Balenos Bay, and repeated failures to turn it into a harbour city, kept it from becoming a sea town. Abroad, Velia is known for its premium wine.

Background
When Bartali was crowned founding king of Balenos, Velia became the kingdom's capital, and even after the death of the last king, Bartali III, his descendants have kept ruling the territory from the town. Its connecting nodes include Finto Farm, Bartali Farm, Loggia Farm, the Forest of Plunder, the Coastal Cave and Luivano Island, and it has the usual town services, from the marketplace and storage to stables, wharf managers and the Lunar Halo Inn. The town's faith is Elionism.
