The Kingdom of Valencia is the largest faction in the world of Black Desert. It controls the whole Valencia region and is ruled by Sahazad Nesser, the sixth king and current head of the Nesser royal family. Its only permitted religion is Aalism.

Background
The kingdom fought a thirty-year war against Calpheon, repelling every invasion and desert expedition the western alliance sent; Calpheon's last campaign was swallowed by a sandstorm, which ended the war in Valencia's favour. Its lands run from the road out of Mediah to the Barhan Gateway, past the Sand Grain Bazaar to the capital Valencia City, the coastal town of Arehaza and the northern trade port of Ancado, along with the desert's oases and sanctums and several islands. Even after the official peace, the Army of the Red Desert (Valencia) and the Army of the Black Desert (Calpheon) keep clashing over Black Stones, which appears in the game as a recurring PvP event.
