Background

Ships enter Margoria from the Ross Sea near the continent. The only crossing open today runs northwest into the Juur Sea close to the Haso continent, the shorter but harder way to Haso; the longer and easier way is said to go through eastern Valencia. Sailors should expect trouble: compasses do not work there, typhoons can strike at any moment, and pirate ships and giant sea monsters roam its waters, although many guilds hunt those monsters for the money. Phantom ships can also appear and pin a ship in place until they are destroyed. One of the spots charted under Margoria's stars is the wreck of Haran, a cargo-ship captain who stands in distress on his ruined ship, its hold full of historical relics, beneath the Rusty Shield constellation.
