Background
Jeremy Zuckerman, who composed for the original animated series, returned to score the film in November 2025. He stated that the larger budget allowed him full access to an orchestra and enabled new approaches that were previously limited by technology. For the character Sonam, Grammy Award-winning Indian flautist Varijashree Venugopal was brought in to provide themes. Bryan Konietzko noted that Zuckerman connected with Venugopal through a mutual friend, and both worked on the project Seven Havens based on the franchise. Konietzko and director Lauren Montgomery acknowledged Indian influences in the show and their interest in ancient cultures' mysticism, fantasy, and spirituality, which Venugopal's voice provided a haunting quality for Sonam.
The soundtrack was released on July 24, 2026, through Milan Records, one day before the film's worldwide release on Paramount+. The album credits include a large orchestra and choir, with music composed and produced by Jeremy Zuckerman, conducted by Anthony Parnther and Joey Newman, and recorded at multiple Los Angeles studios including Newman Scoring Stage and Barbra Streisand Scoring Stage.
