Ralph T. Guard

The dim-witted studio security guard who recaptures the Warner siblings.

Ralph T. Guard is the security guard of the Warner Bros. studio in Animaniacs, voiced by Frank Welker. Dim-witted, he is usually the one who gets the Warner siblings recaptured and confined to the studio water tower.

Lore & Background

Studio executive Thaddeus Plotz ordered Ralph to capture the Warners whenever they escaped, and the guard is one of the particular targets of their humour, along with the lot's psychiatrist, Otto Scratchansniff. He first appeared in Tiny Toon Adventures as the Fat Guard. In the film Wakko's Wish, King Salazar orders Plotz and Ralph to stop the Warners from reaching the wishing star.

Reader's Guide

Ralph returns in the 2020 revival, as dim as before, where he takes advantage of the Warners' unfamiliarity with 21st-century technology to contain them for a short time. The second-season finale reveals that he is related to Nora Rita Norita, Plotz's successor, and that his real name is Ralphnazo.
