Synopsis
Bruce Wayne, secretly The Batman, has been protecting Gotham City for three years when the series begins. The Gotham City police do not publicly acknowledge his existence. Operating from the Batcave beneath his mansion, Batman and his butler Alfred Pennyworth use high-tech gadgets and a supercomputer to fight crime. At the start of the first season, crime is declining, but Chief of Police Angel Rojas orders his officers to hunt Batman. Throughout season 1, both detectives try to capture Batman. By the end of the season, Bennett is exposed to the Joker's mutagenic Joker Putty and becomes Clayface, forcing him into hiding. Yin realizes she was wrong about Batman and allies with him. Villains introduced this season include the Joker, the Penguin, Catwoman, Mr. Freeze, Firefly, the Ventriloquist, Man-Bat, Cluemaster, and Bane.
