Show premise

The Pink Panther shorts retain the art direction, silent acting, musical scoring, and story lines of the classic DePatie-Freleng shorts from the 1960s and 1970s. The Panther appears as a teenager and remains silent. The Little Man is renamed Big Nose and voiced by Alex Nussbaum. The Ant and the Aardvark shorts now take place in a jungle; the Aardvark retains his Jewish sense of humor and Jackie Mason-esque voice, while a younger Ant voiced by Kel Mitchell replaces the original Dean Martin-esque character.

Characters

The Pink Panther is the silent, calm, and cool protagonist who uses luck and wits to overcome challenges, often helping others but occasionally showing cockiness. Big Nose, based on the original Little Man, is the Panther's primary rival: short, with a big nose and mustache, plain white in color, rude, immature, and unlucky, speaking gibberish and owning an unnamed dog. Big Nose's Bull Terrier, also plain white, provides comic relief and enjoys the Panther's company. The Ant is a red ant, sharp and intelligent, physically strong, and more sarcastic than previous incarnations. The Blue Aardvark is sly, cunning, and inept, frequently breaking the fourth wall while trying to catch and eat the Ant.

Broadcast

In the US, the show aired on Cartoon Network until August 23, 2010, then reran on Boomerang until 2012. It premiered on Teletoon in Canada on May 11, on Boomerang in the UK and Ireland on April 19, and on Boomerang in the Middle East and Africa on September 11. KidsClick aired reruns from July 1, 2017 to March 31, 2019. The series is available on Tubi, The Roku Channel, Prime Video, and the official Pink Panther YouTube channel.
