Blaze
His signature aircraft is the F-14A Tomcat.[1] The player takes on the role of Blaze in Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War.[1] Blaze held the rank of captain and served as a pilot and flight leader for the Osean Air Defense Force's Wardog Squadron, which later became Razgriz Squadron.[1] Captain Jack Bartlett was Blaze's initial commanding officer until Bartlett was shot down during Operation Gyre on September 27, 2010.[1]
Kei Nagase turned down a promotion to flight leader, which led to Blaze taking over the squadron.[1] His callsigns include Kid, Booby, Wardog 4, Wardog 1, and Razgriz 1.[4] Blaze's aircraft number is 016.[4] He is male and Osean by nationality.[4]
