Background
She comes from a family of pilots spanning four generations; her father and grandfather both served in the Osean Air Defense Force.[2] Her father was killed in the Circum-Pacific War, and afterward her grandfather stopped her from enlisting in the military.[2] Avril held President Vincent Harling responsible for her father's death.[2]
Restoring an F-104
With her grandfather and his war buddies, she restored an F-104C Starfighter from a scrapyard, performing the manual labor herself.[3]
Transfer to the 444th
In May 2019, she flew the restored F-104, was shot down by an Osean F-15C after being mistaken for Erusean, and was convicted by court martial.[4] She was transferred to the 444th Air Base and forced to restore mothballed aircraft, where she was nicknamed "Scrap Queen".[4]
