Biography

After the Skully operations, Scarface Squadron disbanded and Phoenix retired from the frontlines.[2] He returned to service in 1998 after being hired by Unified Command during the Usean Rebellion.[2] The FCU Army employed him in 1995 to fight a terrorist organization on Skully Island.[2]

In other Ace Combat titles

Phoenix appears in Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception as a legacy ace in an XFA-27.[3] Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown featured the Scarface paint scheme and the XFA-27 together.[3]

Trivia

Voice-acted lines during landing sequences in Ace Combat 2 made Phoenix the initial speaking player character.[4] The XFA-27 was the first original aircraft used canonically by a playable character, that character being Phoenix.[4]
