Mobius Squadron

It served during the 2003–2005 Continental War and was later reformed under the IUN.[1] The squadron's ace pilot, Mobius 1, became its flight leader around the start of the ISAF counteroffensive in late 2004.[1] Mobius Squadron was deployed against a resurgent Free Erusea in 2014 as part of IUN peacekeeping forces.[1][2] The 118th Tactical Fighter Wing, also called 118 Squadron, served as an elite unit within the Independent State Allied Forces Air Force and was known as Mobius Squadron.[1]

Continental War (2003–2005)

Mobius 1 was the sole member of Mobius Squadron during the ISAF evacuation from the Usean mainland.[3] The full Mobius Squadron was formed by merging several other ISAF squadrons under Mobius 1's command.[3] On September 26, 2005, Mobius Squadron destroyed the Erusean superweapon Megalith at the Twinkle Islands.[3]

2006 Free Erusea uprising

In 2006, Mobius 1 and AWACS SkyEye were deployed to suppress the Free Erusea uprising as part of Operation Katina.[4] Mobius 1 was estimated to have combat capabilities equal to an entire ISAF squadron.[4][5]

Postwar

A ceremony hosted by the Osean Federation on June 30, 2020, at Redmill Air Force Base displayed the original Mobius Squadron planes to mark 25 years since the Belkan War ended.[6]

AWACS SkyEye

AWACS SkyEye provided tactical and radar support for Mobius Squadron since its first mission over Newfield Island.[7]
