Background
In the comics Jace is a geneticist from Markovia working for the royal family. After King Viktor's death she activates Brion's and Tara's metagenes, is kidnapped by Baron Bedlam's forces and rescued by Metamorpho, whom she hopes to cure. In the Millennium storyline she turns out to be working for the Manhunters and dies when her own weapon surges.
In the DC Rebirth relaunch she is an astrophysicist forced to work for Kobra, who has her fuse Violet Harper with an Aurakle to create Halo.
The Young Justice version is a protégé of the Ultra-Humanite and a member of the Light who serves as the Markovian royal physician. Working with Baron Bedlam's metahuman trafficking ring, she turns Tara and Brion into metahumans and kills Gabrielle Daou, later resurrected as Violet Harper, then uses her bond with Brion to infiltrate Nightwing's team and becomes his advisor when he overthrows his brother Gregor.
