Ghal Maraz
Skull Splitter: Sigmar's rune-struck warhammer, lost to the void and returned.
Ghal Maraz, the "Skull Splitter", is the divine warhammer of Sigmar, older than the Mortal Realms themselves. Grungni mined the starmetal it was forged from; struck with runes of justice, it is a bane to Chaos, trails a twin-tailed comet when swung hard enough, and its radiance is unbearable to all but the mightiest servants of the Dark Gods. Sigmar used it to raise mankind from barbarism in the World-That-Was and was never beaten in combat while wielding it. At the Battle of Burning Skies, tricked by illusions and his own rage, he hurled it into the void, and it was lost for centuries before being recovered; Sigmar then passed it to his greatest champion.
