Marco Polo's golden passport to Shambhala.

Background
Polo got the Phurba through his close ties to Kublai Khan, who probably had it from his grandfather Genghis Khan. With it Polo found a temple in a Nepalese valley that led to Shambhala beneath a Tibetan monastery. The dagger was lost for centuries after part of Polo's fleet was wrecked; Nate recovers it in Borneo, and after it changes hands several times he uses it to open the final gate to Shambhala.
