AK-47
The series' workhorse assault rifle.
The AK-47 is a common assault rifle found across the Uncharted series. It is a dependable mid-tier gun that enemy forces carry through the early and middle chapters of each game. It does average damage and works well at medium range or up close, but loses accuracy quickly on sustained automatic fire.

Background
In Drake's Fortune, Nate first picks one up from a mercenary in "A Surprising Find" and it stays his main long gun until the mercenaries' M4 rifles take over. In Among Thieves it first appears at Lazarević's camp in Borneo and is a common sight in the Nepalese city. The Nathan Drake Collection adds a gold-plated AK-47 as a reward for finishing a game on Brutal difficulty.
