Kingdom of Redania
The Northern Kingdom of King Vizimir II and, after him, Radovid V.
The Kingdom of Redania is one of the Northern Kingdoms of The Witcher. Its ruler is King Vizimir II, whose brother is Prince Radovid V; Sigismund Dijkstra is the spymaster of Vizimir's court and the sorceress Philippa Eilhart is the king's advisor.

Lore & Background
Philippa Eilhart remains in Redania's court after Vizimir's assassination, which she herself arranged. In The Tower of the Swallow, Dijkstra travels to the neutral nation of Kovir, seeking financing to rebuild Redania's army in anticipation of a Nilfgaardian invasion, and in The Lady of the Lake the Nilfgaardians are eventually routed by Redanian forces. At the end of the novels Dijkstra is forced to flee Redania when Philippa tries to have him killed.
Reader's Guide
In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the Continent is caught up in a war between the empire of Nilfgaard and Redania, ruled by King Radovid V, and Oxenfurt is a Redanian city. In the Netflix series, King Vizimir orders Dijkstra to murder Philippa as a scapegoat for a failed coup, but Philippa, forewarned, orchestrates Vizimir's assassination and crowns Radovid.
