Lore & Background
Telltale made it after a 2011 deal with Robert Kirkman and Warner Bros., taking cues from story-driven games such as Heavy Rain and Mass Effect. Dialogue choices and actions carry over from episode to episode, though they shape relationships and small events more than the overall plot.
