Plot
An ancient sex goddess known as the Queen of the South Sea would seduce men, then use a serpent inside her vagina to eat their penises. One man grabbed the serpent, which became a dagger. Angered, the Queen cursed his future great-granddaughter. In 1989, anthropologist Tania studied the legend, dove to the Queen's lair, and was strapped to a bed while a serpent entered her vagina, letting the Queen possess her. Tania then slaughtered people in a nightclub and hunted the descendant, aspiring pop star Erica. Detective Max McNeil from New York investigated and met Erica. Tania was caught in a car fire but kept chasing Erica, who finally stabbed her with the dagger, ending Tania.
Critical reception
Lor. of Variety stated the film provides mainly camp and novelty value through grotesque situations and laughable dialogue, noting action scenes are okay but visual effects are subpar. Cliff Doerksen of The Chicago Reader described it as the kind of movie best randomly discovered on cable at 4 AM, adding that director H. Tjut Djalil has serious treats for viewers who dig guys with mullets. Kyle Anderson of Nerdist wrote that the movie isn't good but is totally worth watching because of how baffling it is.
