Greasy Sae is an old woman who sells bowls of soup from a large kettle at The Hob in District 12. Katniss Everdeen and Gale Hawthorne trade with her often and make an effort to stay on good terms, since she can be counted on to buy wild dogs that most of their other customers decline.

Background
Greasy Sae started a collection to sponsor Peeta and Katniss during the 74th Hunger Games, and some people chipped in. She has a granddaughter described as "not quite right" who is treated as a pet by the people of The Hob, who feed her scraps from their stands. Both Greasy Sae and her granddaughter survived the bombing of District 12, and she is one of the few hundred people who return to the district after the war.
When Katniss comes back to District 12 after the war, Greasy Sae comes over morning and evening to cook and do light housekeeping, while her granddaughter fiddles with a ball of yarn. She is not directly mentioned in the Hunger Games films, but a character presumably meant to be her deals with Katniss and gives her the Mockingjay pin, which in the book came from Madge.
