Terra Blade

When swung, it produces a green aura that can hit up to three enemies.^[1] The projectile dissipates after 1.5 seconds, upon hitting blocks, or when its damage reaches 0.^[1] This broadsword becomes available after Plantera is defeated in Hardmode.^[1] A green projectile shot from the sword can pass through an unlimited number of foes, with each hit lowering its damage by a quarter of the current value.^[1]

The Legendary modifier provides the highest performance for this weapon.^[1] It has a damage of 85 (Melee), knockback of 6.5 (Strong), critical chance of 4%, use time of 18 (Very fast), velocity of 12, and sells for 20 Gold.^[6]

Recipes

The Terra Blade is crafted at a Mythril Anvil or Orichalcum Anvil using a True Night's Edge, a True Excalibur, and a Broken Hero Sword.^[2]

Used in

It is used as a crafting material for the Zenith on Desktop, Console, and Mobile versions.^[3]

Tips

How often the Terra Blade launches projectiles depends on the weapon's own attack speed, and enhancements to melee speed significantly increase the launch rate.^[4]

Trivia

The Terra Blade appears in Dungeon Defenders 2 and Palworld as part of a crossover.^[5] To craft the Terra Blade, one must gather eight distinct swords that can be used as weapons.^[5] The weapon merges the penetrating shots from the True Night's Edge with the extended melee reach of the True Excalibur.^[5]
