The Spear is a pre-Hardmode spear weapon.[1] It has a 1/11 (9.09%) chance to appear in Wooden Chests on the surface or in the underground layer.[1] Its best modifier is Godly or Demonic, which increase average damage output equally.[1] The Spear deals 8 melee damage, has 6.5 knockback (Strong), 4% critical chance, 31 use time (Slow), and 3.7 velocity.[3]
It sells for 2 Silver and requires 1 for research.[3]
