See You in My 19th Life

See You in My 19th Life is a South Korean drama that premiered in 2023, featuring Shin Hye-sun, Ahn Bo-hyun, Ha Yoon-kyung, and Ahn Dong-goo in leading roles. The show adapts a webtoon by Lee Hye, originally published on Naver Webtoon. It ran on tvN from June 17 to July 23, 2023, airing Saturdays and Sundays at 21:20 KST, and could be streamed on TVING and Netflix in certain areas.

The story follows Ban Ji-eum, played by Shin Hye-sun, who has lived through reincarnation for nearly a thousand years and retains memories of every past life. After her eighteenth life ends abruptly in a tragic accident, she sets out in her nineteenth life to find the man she loved in her previous one.

The main cast includes Shin Hye-sun as Ban Ji-eum, a woman with the supernatural ability to recall all her past lives, who works on MI Hotel’s strategic planning team. Park So-yi portrays her as a child. Ahn Bo-hyun plays Moon Seo-ha, the heir to a wealthy family haunted by trauma from a car accident, who serves as executive director of the same team; Jung Hyeon-jun plays him as a child. Ha Yoon-kyung is Yoon Cho-won, a landscape architect and the younger sister of Ji-eum’s eighteenth life, with Ki So-yu in the younger role. Ahn Dong-goo appears as Ha Do-yoon, Seo-ha’s secretary and closest friend.

Supporting characters include Cha Chung-hwa as Kim Ae-kyung, owner of Aekyung Kimchi-jjim Restaurant; Kang Myung-joo as Jo Yoo-seon, mother of Joo-won and Cho-won, with Kim Yoo-mi playing her younger self; Baek Seung-cheol as Ban Hak-su, Ji-eum’s father; and Moon Dong-hyuk as Ban Dong-woo, her older brother. Ji-eum’s past lives are portrayed by Kim Si-a as Yoon Joo-won, her eighteenth life born in 1986 and Cho-won’s older sister, and Lee Jae-kyoon as Kim Jung-ho, her seventeenth life born in 1956 and Ae-kyung’s uncle, who died of tuberculosis.

Around Seo-ha are Lee Bo-young as Lee Sang-ah, his mother and former CEO of MI Hotel; Choi Jin-ho as Moon Jeong-hun, his father and chairman of MI Group; and Lee Hae-young as Lee Sang-hyeok, his maternal uncle and a director at MI Group. Other MI Group figures include Bae Hae-sun as CEO Jang Yeon-ok and her son Chan-hyuk, played by Bin Chan-wook.
