Cast

Kim Rae-won stars as Zi O, a man with a hidden ability whom Human Tech is hunting. After a major incident leaves him with no memories, he sets out to learn his true identity while being chased by strangers, gradually accepting that he is not ordinary. The younger version of Zi O is played by Oh Han-kyul. Lee Da-hee plays Ha Neul-ae-goo-reum, a detective assigned to the Violent Crimes unit’s first team at the Juan Metropolitan Police Station. She was demoted from the Major Crimes unit. Her parents vanished when she was young, and she has spent nine years searching for them without giving up. Seo Eun-sol portrays her as a child. Kim Sung-oh takes on the role of Lee Son, a former Special Forces soldier serving a life sentence for accidentally killing nine people during a training exercise when he mistook a grenade for a flare. Cheol-soo recruits him to lead a team that hunts Zi O. In a previous attempt to capture Zi O, Lee Son lost his entire right arm, which Human Tech replaced with a prosthetic. Park Hyuk-kwon plays Kim Cheol-soo, a covert power broker within the National Intelligence Service. He backs Joong-kwon and the project to become extremely wealthy if it succeeds, and he stops at nothing to ensure its success. Ahn Nae-sang portrays Ryu Joong-kwon, the director of Human Tech and the scientist responsible for the project’s sole successful outcome. He was once forced out of academia for violating research ethics around artificial human enhancement, then jailed for embezzling research funds. Cheol-soo later supported him to build the ultimate human being. Jin Kyung plays Hwang Jung-ah, the founder of Human Tech. She leads a cult but puts her faith in scientific theories rather than divine will. Though wealthy and well-connected, she lacked a purpose until she found her goal in creating new lives. Kim Sang-ho appears as Choi Jin-hwan, the team leader of the Violent Crimes unit’s first team. He has the lowest conviction rate in the station because he always gets the toughest cases. He initially dislikes Goo-reum but eventually treats her like family. Hwang Jae-yeol plays Kim Yoo-chul, a detective who trusts Jin-huan completely and looks after his juniors carefully. He worries about Goo-reum’s stubborn focus on the Zi O case but supports her to the end. Han Kyu-wan plays Kim Jin-soo.
