Dr. Brain (TV series)
A brain scientist syncs with the dead to solve a family tragedy.
Dr. Brain is a South Korean science fiction thriller television series created by Kim Jee-woon, based on the webtoon of the same name by Hongjacga. It stars Lee Sun-kyun as a brain scientist who uses a technique to access the memories of the deceased in order to investigate his family's mysterious deaths. The series is notable as the first Korean-language show produced for Apple TV+, debuting on November 4, 2021 to accompany the service's launch in South Korea.

Production and release
Director Kim Jee-woon had previously attempted to adapt the Daum webtoon Dr. Brain without success. In May 2019, he entered series production with YG Studioplex, and the project was initially developed under the working title Mr. Robin. Lee Sun-kyun was offered the lead role in October 2020 and had signed on by March 2021, when Apple picked up the series as it entered production. Apple set a release date of November 4, 2021 to coincide with the launch of Apple TV+ in South Korea, and the rest of the main cast was revealed that October. The six episodes were released weekly through December 9, 2021. On January 27, 2022, multiple official sources stated that a second season would be produced.
