Season 6, episode 13: Jax agrees to give himself up, and Gemma kills Tara in her kitchen.
"A Mother's Work" is the thirteenth episode of the sixth season of Sons of Anarchy and the 79th episode of the series. Jax arranges to turn himself in to protect Tara, but Gemma, convinced that Tara has made a deal against the club, kills her in her own kitchen.

Background
The episode opens with Jax writing at Opie's grave; Clay has just been buried in a plain grave with only Unser there. Jax tells Bobby and Chibs that he is giving himself up to DA Patterson, suggests Bobby take over as president with Chibs as vice president, and warns them that Juice cannot be trusted. When Unser tells Gemma that Jax is being arrested and that Tara has made a deal, she takes his keys and drives off in his truck. Tara comes home and finds Gemma in the kitchen: Gemma beats her with an iron, forces her head into a sink full of water and stabs her again and again with a carving fork. Juice and Eli Roosevelt run in and find Tara dead, and as Roosevelt starts to radio it in, Juice shoots him in the back. Jax comes home expecting to meet Patterson and finds his wife's body on the kitchen floor.
