Background
Clay ruled the club firmly for more than a decade, but his own schemes did serious harm to SAMCRO, its families and Charming. Once Jax learns that Clay was behind the death of his father John Teller, the death of Piney Winston and an attack on Tara, he takes the presidency from him. The club later votes Clay out and, in season 6, arranges his killing together with his rogue IRA allies; he dies in the episode "Aon Rud Persanta".
