Background
Back in Charming in 1967, Piney felt shut out by the society he had fought for and founded the club with fellow veteran John Teller as an act of rebellion. He served as vice president until he was diagnosed with emphysema in 1991; afterwards he had to carry an oxygen tank everywhere and could no longer ride on runs, though he still sat in on church. He is the only SAMCRO member of his era to wear the original denim kutte, and he drinks heavily, preferring Patrón. He is killed in season 4, one of the deaths Jax later learns Clay was responsible for.
